A bit of history about rare cars. As is known a Duesenberg ceased to exist after the Second World War. However, attempts were made to the manufacture of custom made. In 1949, Jim Roberts produced a Duesenberg Special on Model J chassis. Very popular Ferrari clones were produced by small companies in the U.S.A. since the late 80's to 90's. Often these were fraudulent schemes that at least defaulting obligations but do not forget to take a client payment. Others who have worked honestly but produced a Ferrari replicas in a very limited series. Just as often there were situations when the Ferrari company has been accused of copyright infringement to these workshops and were demands to stop production of clones and in case of refusal threatened to sue. The Turborossa (Specter Automotive Corp. from Forth Worth, Texas) was made very small quantities in 1991-92 and offered on Firebird or Camaro chassis. First cars is Lamberti LS1 (or LS2, because it looks much different than LS1). Syd Lawrence Mk2 by Syd Lawrence Special Cars Limited (London ,England)  Paucity of information about this company. I only know that Syd Lawrence as well as Johnard Donington (page 293) and Mallalieu been making in 70-80's vintage styled roadsters on Bentley chassis. Just Syd Lawrence cars appeared to be styled by Bentley of 1930's. The company is engaged in restoration. I have b/w brochure of Syd Lawrence Mk2 but unfortunately the illustrations in her very badly. This photo shows only restored Bentley by Syd Lawrence. As is known a Auburn replica was made in USA by California Custom Coach and Elegant Motors companies in late 1970's. However, there was another company in Australia, which manufactures custom rather the expensive version of Auburn 876 Speedster replica. In encyclopedias about Auburn Motor Car Company (Division of Town Auto Wholesalers), Melbourne) is very stingy information. But I know a little more information than the meager line of books. Short return Laser 917 cult in 2006-2008 by Classic Sport Automobiles. Let me remind you that in the early 70's, this Porsche 917 replica from USA was made by Star Trac and later Elite Enterprises companies. The association also plans to manufacture in the 80's by Quint Industries and Denevy Manufacturing (Canada). In the early 90's a Hardy Motors had bought the rights for the manufacture Laser 917 and Allard J2X. Unfortunately all the attempts were short-lived.
